Who We Are

At Second Baptist Church, we believe in the inclusiveness implied in the Gospel & the uniqueness we are afforded as children created in the image of God.  We are a historically African American, multicultural, multigenerational congregation of Christians rooted in the black church tradition & committed to displaying the love of Jesus to all around us. 

At Second Baptist, we have three core values that inform everything that we do  as a congregation:

Our Worship-We take the worship of our God seriously and make it a priority in all of our practices.

Our Work-We take the work the salvation of the Gospel requires of us seriously and are committed to that work in our cities, nation & the world.

Our Witness-We are willing to take the liberation of the Gospel to those who have never had an experience with Jesus Christ and offer them the opportunity to have a personal relationship with Him for themselves.
